Customizers In The Great White North

Check out the builders and get an autograph.  Who knows, in a couple of years it might be worth a bundle.

JOHN SHOPE, founder of JOHN SHOPE'S SINISTER INDUSTRIES, is the premier custom motorcycle builder based in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Some say John is a true artist.  His creations are original and inspiring.  John’s creations have been compared to sculptures that you’d see in a museum.  When asked to describe where he gets his inspiration from, John replies, "I eat, drink, and sleep motorcycles.  My mind is constantly creating images of different parts and ways to fabricate a different yet functional motorcycle.  I am constantly expanding my ideas and pushing them beyond their boundaries.”

In the world of custom motorcycle fabricators, there are people who are well-liked and people who are respected.  Only a few are both, and among them even fewer are acknowledged as deans of their industry.  Dave Perewitz is a member — many would say a leader — of that very elite group.  Dave has had over 30 years experience building and customizing motorcycles.  Perewitz is a self taught designer, mechanic, painter, and fabricator.

Calling Eddie Trotta a custom bike builder is like saying Michelangelo just painted ceilings. “I always design my bikes like women, with a waistline. And then the fat tire in the back becomes the big butt” Eddie Trotta says.  That you see or not the woman part(s) in each of his bikes, you must admit that his motorcycle designs are very distinctive and recognizable.

Bobby Seeger and Elisa Seeger, the driving force behind the creative and diverse line of Indian Larry Motorcycles, produce custom motorcycles, parts, and apparel.
